About 900 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, Tropical Depression Thirteen has formed. Environmental conditions are favorable for Thirteen to further develop later today into Tropical Storm Lee. As the storm moves toward the western tropical Atlantic, additional strengthening to a hurricane is expected later this week.
