As of 3:30PM Friday: We are watching the remnants of Hurricane Agatha (Pacific Storm) continue to move northeast towards southern Florida. It’s current designation is “Potential Tropical Cyclone One” but with winds already at 40 mph, it has crossed the full Tropical Storm threshold for wind. Once the storm becomes more organized, it will be designated as Tropical Storm Alex. This is expected to happen later this evening. It’s path take it across southern Florida, and then out into the Atlantic.
We are also keeping an eye on another smaller system, which is unlikely to develop anytime soon, but is at least worth noting. This will move further into the Atlantic and away from the United States.
