After some rain and clouds during the first half of the day Friday, we got a bit of sunshine to finish the afternoon. Today, expect mostly cloudy skies with a couple patches of drizzle. Everything should hold up for the final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournament. Temperatures will still be relatively warm in the upper 70s. Tomorrow, we’re back into the low 80s with continuing clouds and the chance for an isolated thunderstorm or two. We’ll keep our eye on that for the Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship at Augusta National Golf Club.
As we move into Masters Week, it could be a wet couple of practice rounds. Showers and Storms are expected for at least part of the day Monday, which could suspend play at the tournament. Tuesday sees mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers. Both days will have highs in the low 80s.
That gets our bad news out of the way. Good news is we’re back to sunshine for Wednesday and the Par 3 Tournament. Expect highs in the 80s to continue through the week with partly sunny skies for Thursday and Friday as the Masters begins tournament play.
