Simply put, yesterday was not a good weather day. We saw damaging winds and large hail in a few spots across the CSRA as storms rolled through. Lee County, Alabama took the heaviest hit as tornadoes devastated the region resulting in dozens on fatalities. As we move into the warmer months, it’s a good time to remember the dangers of severe weather and to make sure you have a plan in place to stay safe.
Fortunately, we have clearer weather ahead. Expect partly sunny to sunny skies for most of the work week, though we’ll have winter temperatures returning. Cold air is pushing in behind this cold front and we’ll see highs drop to the 50s with lows getting down to the 20s. You’ll need to bring back the winter coat for at least a couple days. Warmer air will return as we head toward the weekend, though we’ll see some clouds and rain along with the rising temps.
