It’s been a dreary day across the CSRA that started with some storms and will likely end with some more. Severe weather will be possible late tonight into early tomorrow morning. The Storm Prediction Center has put the entire viewing area in a Slight Risk for severe weather, which is a 2 out of 5 on their scale. Our most western counties are in an Enhanced Risk, which bumps up to a 3 out of 5. The main threat will be damaging wind with isolated tornadoes also possible. Stay tuned to WJBF both on-air and online for updates. Also, make sure you have a way to receive notifications and alerts should severe weather strike while you’re sleeping. Have your weather radio nearby or download the WJBF Live VIPIR 6 Weather App and have notifications turned on.
Strong storms could last through tomorrow morning with scattered storms lingering into the afternoon. The high temperature will be in the 70s to go along with the clouds. The sunshine will return on Wednesday but temperatures will take a tumble. Highs for mid week will be near 60 with lows in the mid 30s. We’ll warm back up heading into the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds as highs get back near 70.
