AUGUSTA (WJBF) – Two suspects in an Augusta murder case plead guilty to the crime.
Blaeke Wolfe and Devin Stringfield entered a guilty plea this morning for the murder of Andrew Cato and were sentenced to life in prison with parole.
Pleading guilty to one count of malice murder each, Stringfield and Wolfe will receive at least 30 years in prison.
Their plea deal resulted in the dismissal of the secondary charge of felony murder, but they were still required as a part of the deal to plead guilty to the third charge, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.
The punishment for the firearm possession charge for adds, consecutively, five years of probation following their probationary release from prison.
Cato went missing May 5th, 2018.
His body was found weeks later in McCormick County.
