Champions Retreat offers exclusive Palmer, Player and Nicklaus course designs to Masters visitors

As golf fans from around the world descend upon Augusta, Georgia, many of them will be looking to play golf during their Masters visit.

Champions Retreat offers all the amenities of a world-class golf resort and is open to the public only during Masters week. It is the only place in the world where golfers can play three separate nine hole courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.

According to Champions Retreat general manager Cameron Wiebe, the original “big 3” drew straws after the 1999 Champions Dinner at The Masters to determine which plot of land each player would design.

Palmer, drawing the biggest straw, chose the The Bluff. Player, drawing the second largest straw chose to design The Creek course. Nicklaus put his signature design on The Island course.

Champions Retreat is also hosting several themed-parties, including an oyster roast, throughout the wee for its guests.

Tee times are still available during Masters week. You can find more information HERE.
