Rainah Khan is one of the best softball players in Georgia.
The Thomson second baseman was named All-State following her junior season and will almost certainly earn the honor again after a stellar senior year. She’s also being considered for region player of the year after leading the Bulldogs to consecutive region championships, and she said one of the main reasons for her success is her family.
“I don’t just have one [role model],” Khan said. “My family motivates me because when I see them it pushes me. I want them to be proud of me.”
“[I’m most proud] of her personality,” Khan’s mother, Rochelle Khan, said. “Not only is she a good student and good athlete, but she’s a good person. She has a good heart, and she wants the whole team to succeed.”
Khan is still deciding where she will play college softball, but her ultimate goal is to become a veterinarian.
