Midland Valley senior, Erin Andrews is this week’s winner of the WJBF Scholar-Athlete award. Erin is on the honor roll, she was named a junior scholar, takes A-P classes and is dual enrolled at USC-Aiken. Erin’s also a three-sport star for the Mustangs, competing in the high jump, while also earning all-region honors in varsity volleyball and basketball. Andrews loves competing in and out of the classroom.
“I feel like if I just prioritize, if I know what I want, I’ll just go get it. Like it’s not a time balance thing, it’s just something I have to do. I’m really competitive by nature. I feel like it’s because I have an older brother, who pushes me to do stuff,” said Andrews.
” I think it comes from maybe the environment that we create at the house, but I believe she’s just one of those students that, she likes coming home with good grades, and she like trying to be the best she can be,” said Lenore Andrews, Erin’s mother.
Erin says she want to go to law school and one day compete in the courtroom for her clients.
