AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – September kicks off Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Awareness Month, so hundreds of women fighting the metabolic disorder will head to Atlanta for a symposium and 5K.
Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome can register for the 2016 PCOS Awareness Symposium and Bolt for PCOS 5K Run/Walk next month. The events, sponsored by PCOS Challenge Inc., take place at Georgia Institute of Technology next month. PCOS impacts one in ten women of childbearing age causing missed periods, ovarian cysts, infertility, hormonal imbalance and often leads to Type II Diabetes, cardiovascular disease and endometrial cancer.
The PCOS Awareness Symposium will take place Saturday, September 24. The 5K will be on Sunday, September 25. Both events are at Georgia Institute of Technology. Click here for registration costs and times.
