Two suspects are behind bars in connection to a murder investigation in Wrens, Georgia.

Investigators from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation say 31 year old Shaun Ernest Berry was found dead in his home on Stephens Street Tuesday morning.

As a result of evidence obtained from the crime scene and witness interviews, the following individuals were arrested in Augusta, Georgia on Tuesday night, May 10th and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

19 year old Anthony Marquis Hampton of Augusta was charged with Murder, 1st degree Burglary, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and Possession of a firearm during certain crimes.

31 year old Shamika Renee Scott was charged with Murder, 1st degree Burglary, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a firearm during certain crimes

A first appearance hearing will be held on Thursday afternoon for both subjects at the Superior Court in Jefferson County.

Wrens, GA (WJBF) – The GBI is releasing the identity of the homicide victim in Wrens, GA.

31 year old, Shaun Ernest Berry was shot and killed.

Dispatch was called to the scene around 10:22 Tuesday morning to the 500 block of Stephens Street.

Berry was pronounced dead at the residence by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

The victim’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur, GA where an autopsy will be performed.

WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that a body was found in Wrens, Georgia.

The body was discovered Tuesday afternoon on the 500 block of Stevens Street.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been called in to help with the investigation. Investigators say that this death is being treated as a homicide, at this time.

The identity of the victim is not being released, at this time.
