Unemployment rate rises sharply in June in metro Augusta


ATLANTA (WJBF) – More people in the CSRA are out of jobs, according to the latest stats from the Georgia Department of Labor.

The unemployment rate in metro Augusta has risen to 6 percent for June 2016. That’s up from 5.3 percent in May. For the state of Georgia, the unemployment rate has risen to 5.6 for the month of June. It was 4.7 percent in May.
