Actor Luke Perry is in the hospital after suffering a massive stroke on Wednesday, TMZ is reporting.

According to TMZ, paramedics were called to the 52-year-old actor’s home in the Los Angeles area Wednesday morning for a call about someone suffering a stroke. The report says Perry was taken to a nearby hospital. TMZ does not say what his current condition is.

Perry is best known for his role as Dylan McKay on “Beverly Hills, 90210” in the 90s. He currently plays Fred Andrews, Archie Andrews’ dad, on “Riverdale.” The CW drama series is based on the characters from the Archie Comics.

According to TMZ, Perry has recently been shooting episodes of “Riverdale” in Los Angeles.

Earlier Thursday, Fox confirmed the original stars of “90210” would be returning for a six-part series set to air this summer. Jason Priestly, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling are all confirmed for the project. It’s not clear yet whether Perry will be involved.
