20-year-old Hephzibah woman indicted in New York for alleged involvement with ISIS

20-year-old Hephzibah resident, Kim Anh Vo, was indicted in New York for alleged involvement with ISIS.  

According to documents, Vo participated in recruiting others to join an online hacking group that pledged allegiance with ISIS. They promoted ISIS propaganda and stole personal information from private and government computer systems. Some of Vo’s known aliases were:  F@ang, SyxxZMC, Zozo, Miss.Bones, Sage Pi, and Kitty Lee. 

Vo and her co-conspirators released videos that sought out ISIS supporters to harm workers of a non-profit anti-terrorism organization based out of New York. The videos also called upon the Isis supporters to murder thousands of Americans through “lone wolf” attacks. 

Vo has allegedly been a part of the group since April 2016. She has been in custody since March after being arrested from her home in Hephzibah.  

Below is a timeline of her crimes:    

  • Vo allegedly joined an online Isis hacking group in April of 2016. 

  • In early 2017, Vo recruited others for the ISIS cyber terrorist group. 

  • In March 2017, a co-conspirator posted a video online attacking an anti-terrorism group in New York.  

  • In April 2017, a co-conspirator allegedly posted a video that promoted a kill list of more than 8,000 people.   

Vo remains behind bars in the Southern District of New York.
