NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Norfolk Police say three men were seriously injured in a shooting that was broadcast live on Facebook Tuesday evening.

At about 6:10 p.m., officers were called to the 900 block of Bainbridge Boulevard for a report of gunshots heard. As police responded to the scene, the call was upgraded to three possible gunshot victims.

When officers arrived on scene, they found three men inside a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police say all three men were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with “significant injuries.”

Police said detectives were aware that the incident was recorded and broadcast in a live video on a Facebook page.

The video, sent to 10 On Your Side from WAVY viewers, shows three men in a vehicle, listening to music and smoking. About five and a half minutes into the video, you can hear several shots fired. The video continues broadcasting from what appears to be the floor of the vehicle.

As of Wednesday morning, the two 27-year-old victims are doing better, but the 29-year-old man shot Tuesday evening remains in critical condition, according to police spokesman Daniel Hudson.

There is no suspect information at this time.
