Every day hundreds of mopeds are on South Carolina roadways with little to no regulation for riders.
But that will change on November 19th.

The new law requires registration of all mopeds and that each vehicle have a moped license plate.

The cost is ten-dollars every two years.

If you have a moped that’s been passed down, given to you or purchased from the owner, you will be required to sign a statement declaring ownership.

If you bought it from a dealership, the certificate of ownership is all you need.
