SC lawmaker proposes school bullying bill

SOUTH CAROLINA (WJBF) – A South Carolina lawmaker wants to crackdown on bullies at schools in the state by having parents share the blame.

State Representative Samuel Rivers is proposing a bill that would force parents to attend counseling sessions with their children, if their children are accused of bullying.

If the parents fail to attend, the student would face suspension until the requirements are met.
