Augusta, GA. (WJBF)- With less than two weeks until our next President is chosen, the state of Georgia is giving voters every opportunity to cast their ballots early.
New numbers show that in less than 2 weeks, more than 14-thousand people have taken advantage of early voting in Richmond County.
Saturday Voting – Saturday Voting will be offered at the following locations on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM: the Municipal Building Voting Center, the Diamond Lakes Regional Park, the Henry Brigham Community Center and the Warren Road Recreation Center
Sunday Voting – Sunday voting will be offered at the Municipal Building Voting Center only on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.Extended Hours for Advance Voting will begin Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Municipal Building Voting Center, the Diamond Lakes Regional Park, the Henry Brigham Community Center and the Warren Road Recreation Center from the hours of 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM through Friday, November 4, 2016.
Wait Times at Advance Voting Sites – Voters can check the wait time at each Advance Voting location from the Board of Elections Website at www.augustaga.gov/boe . Just follow the link for up to date information.
Voting by Mail will continue through Friday, November 4, 2016. Interested persons must apply in writing. Applications may be submitted by fax at (706) 821-2814, by email at richmondelections@augustaga.gov, by mail or may be hand delivered to the Board of Elections, 535 Telfair Street, Suite 500, Augusta, Georgia, 30901.
