MCG Programs Allow Students To “Test Drive” Medical School

News

Augusta, GA (WJBF) – The Medical College of Georgia (MCG), at Augusta University, is giving students a chance to test drive medical school…

The school is taking applications for two unique programs. The Student Educational Enrichment Program (SEEP) allows students to work alongside doctors in a hospital setting. The other gives them the chance to attend next month’s Igniting the Dream of Medicine Conference where students can attend workshops and learn the process of applying to medical school.

The programs are something some A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School students tell us they are excited to have.

“It would be good hands-on experiment being able to be more experienced to apply even in our medical classes next year or as we go off to college,” said Jessica Kilpatrick.

“It would be very interesting. I think I might apply.,” said Jaela Poe.
