Marlena Wilson is the Executive Producer and Director of the award winning show – “The Means Report” – as well as the WJBF News Channel 6 Production Supervisor. She joined the WJBF team in 2005 after leaving her position as the morning show director at WBOY in her hometown of Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Marlena attended Marshall University with focus in Theatre and Communications Education. She loves to find creative ways to cover topics that impact lives and touches hearts. That is her focus when she is planning episodes of “The Means Report”.

In 2017 Marlena and Brad Means received the GABBY from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for “Best Locally Produced Program” for “The Means Report”. They also shared an EMMY Nomination from the Southeast EMMY Awards for the show.

Thriving on the chance to be creative, Marlena began writing the online column “Laney’s Look“. In her column she gives her unique and frank take on developing a healthy lifestyle – something she refers to as her “journey”. The self-proclaimed Backstreet Boys fan-girl and “Dancing With The Stars” junkie also weighs in on music, television shows, movies, and books.

In her down time, Marlena enjoys writing and is finishing her first novel. She’s also a huge fan of the Marshall University Thundering Herd and University of Kentucky Wildcats.

Marlena is the proud mom of her “fur-baby”, a Chihuahua named Chloe Rose and is the proud sister to her “fur-sissy”, a rescue pip named Izabella Morgan.
