LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A man was shot and killed during a fight during a Christmas party at a South Carolina real estate firm, authorities said.

The fight happened Friday night in the parking lot of Southern Dreams Realty in Lexington and Wesley Warren-Camp, 26, was shot with a gun someone grabbed out of a vehicle, authorities said.

The man suspected in the shooting was also hospitalized after suffering cuts to his face, but has since been released, Lexington Police Inspector Melissa Silcox said.

Authorities have not released the shooter’s name and are still trying to determine exactly what happened and if anyone should be charged, Silcox said.

“We’ve had varying reports and more witnesses need to be interviewed,” Silcox told The State newspaper.

Southern Dreams Realty has not commented on the shooting.

The State Law Enforcement Division is helping Lexington Police investigate the killing.
