AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon in Augusta.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the 3600 block of Goldfinch Dr. shortly before 2 p.m. for a call of shots fired. When they arrived, deputies found a man with at least 1 gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
