North Augusta, S.C. (WJBF) – Aiken County school leaders say more law enforcement officers will be at North Augusta High School on Thursday after a threat was made about the school on social media.

North Augusta Public Safety officers say they’ve launched a full investigation and it’s been determined the threat has no credibility.  However, just as a precaution they will have more public safety officers at the school on Thursday, April 20th.

On Wednesday, the Aiken County School District released this statement:

“The safety of students and staff members at North Augusta High School is of utmost importance to our District and community and we appreciate, in advance, patience as we work collaboratively to ensure tomorrow is a regular day of teaching and learning.”
