Voting season is here, and Tuesday is the last day for Georgia residents to register to vote in the November 6th elections.
In Georgia, you can register online, by mail and in person. You will need to print and fill out a Georgia voter registration form and mail it to you local election office. As long as it’s post dated by October 9th, you should be good to go.
I talked with the Columbia County Board of Elections Director who says registration is up 4000 people since May: “Registrations are still coming in. We are getting them everyday. Absentee has surpassed what we did in 2014, which is a mirror election, and that is what we compare our elections to,” Nancy Gay told us. “There is a lot of interest in this election.”
If you live in Richmond County, you can sign up at the Municipal Building. If you live in Columbia County, head over to the Board of Elections office or any local library.
