Georgia Governor Nathan Deal will sign the Hands-Free Georgia Act into law today.

The measure would prevent drivers from using their cellphones while behind the wheel.

Today’s signing will be at 2:00 pm at the Statesboro-Bulloch County airport.

The families of the five Georgia Southern nursing students who were killed in a crash in 2015 will be attending today’s ceremony.

The bill will go into effect July 1st.
