A Georgia woman is accused of posing as a dentist, and investigators say she’s been doing it for at least seven years.

Krista Szewczyk faces a 48-count indictment in connection with 2013 incidents of insurance fraud, forgery and practicing dentistry without a license in Paulding County.

State records show that now-defunct dental operation was registered to her husband.

Now Cobb County officials are joining in the investigation as they look at a different business County Dental Providers in Marietta.

One patient, Olin Chastain, went to retrieve his records from the office Tuesday to file a complaint.

He said Szewczyk talked about the news cameras outside.

More than a dozen patient complaints have been filed and one person said they had to have emergency surgery after a procedure.

Marietta Police want to hear from other patients of that Cobb County location who may have had problems.
