Georgia and South Carolina among 27 states impacted by dog treat Salmonella

(CNN) – Georgia and South Carolina among the 27 states impacted by a recent Salmonella outbreak.

The CDC and FDA believe it is linked to pig ear dog treats.

It can infect people if they handle the treat or directly from a dog once it gets sick.

On July 3rd, Pet Supplies Plus took them off the shelves because of the infection.
