One fraternity helped ease the stress for students looking to attend their first year of college.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated held its annual “Scholarship Celebration” Saturday afternoon at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Members of the fraternity awarded several high school students in the CSRA with a scholarship.

Charles Myler, who serves as the Basileus for the organization, says they just want to reward the students for working hard in the classroom.

“This year we are going to recognize 18 CSRA high school students and present them with a $1,000 scholarship,” said Charles Myler.

Myler and other members of Omega Psi Phi Inc. hope the donation will help with buying books or other resources when the students take off for college.
