‘Elevate Eaton’ showcases small businesses downtown

EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – Many stores will offer special discounts and giveaways during an event in downtown Eaton aimed at supporting local women-owned businesses.

‘Elevate Eaton’ kicks off at 5:30 pm Thursday and runs until the end of the business day, with many stores extending their hours into the evening. Food and drinks will be offered at Studio 11, located at 114 E. Main St.

The event is held in partnership with Preble County Chamber of Commerce and Women’s Council of Realtors and hosted by Women in Business Networking, (WiBN). The goal is to network, shop, and connect with other women in business while celebrating all the shops downtown Eaton has to offer.

“Like all other small businesses, like all other small towns, the downtowns seem to be dwindling a bit. So we’re really excited that we have a lot of new businesses here in downtown and we’re really all working together as a group to bring that business down and to remind people how exciting it is to shop downtown,” Heidi Flory of Studio 11.
