AUGUSTA (WJBF) – Classes are in session at Heritage Academy in Augusta.
Students went back to school Wednesday morning.
They got to walk the red carpet and were greeted with a cheering crowd.
Heritage Academy is an independent school offering a Christ-centered education to children of diverse economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
The school is housed in the oldest, continuously-used elementary school building in the Garden City.
