Deadly wreck involving tractor trailers on I-20 in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – The tractor trailer driver killed in an early morning crash on I-20 in Warren County has been identified.

49-year-old Wallace E. Lee of Lexington died in that crash on the eastbound side of I-20 in Warren County.


WARREN COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – An accident involving a FedEx tractor trailer and another tractor trailer turned deadly early Friday morning.

This crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-20 in Warren County.

According to Georgia State Patrol, the FedEx tractor trailer was traveling east near mile marker 155 as the other tractor trailer was stopped in the emergency lane on the shoulder of the road. The FedEx vehicle struck the parked truck and then ran off the roadway, down an embankment and struck several trees.

The FedEx driver died in the crash, but no name has been released.

The driver of the parked truck was not injured.
