CSRA Lawyer, GA House Candidate Accused Of False Imprisonment

**UPDATE** Augusta, GA (WJBF) WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that local attorney, Wright McLeod has been released from jail on a recognizance bond.  Augusta Warrior Project director of Staff and Operations, Amy Palowitch has also posted a recognizance bond and is currently out of jail.

Augusta, GA (WJBF) – WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that a CSRA attorney is currently behind bars in Augusta.

Wright McLeod is behind bars for alleged False Imprisonment.

According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Augusta Warrior Project director Kim Elle, asked McLeod, who was an AWP board member, to assist AWP director of Staff and Operations Amy Palowitch in terminating an AWP employee on December 28, 2015.

The report claims that McLeod and Palowitch told the woman she could not leave the building until her belongings were searched.

McCleod said, in a statement, that he believed the terminated employee was stealing from the non-profit.

McLeod was serving on the AWP board at the time of the incident. Both he and PAlowitch were charged with False Imprisonment and both were granted bond of $15,000 each. There is now word, at thie time, if they have bonded out of jail.

Both McLeod and Palowitch were released from jail on personal recognizance bonds of $15,000 each.
