CSRA Holiday Parades & Tree Lighting Ceremonies

CSRA (WJBF) – The holiday season is upon us, which means communities across the CSRA are getting into the spirit and prepping for Christmas parades and tree lighting ceremonies.

Below are a list of tree lighting ceremonies and area parades.

  • The City of Aiken will host their Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 1st from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Park Ave SW & Newberry St SW in downtown Aiken.

    • The Aiken Jaycees’ Christmas Parade will kick off on Sunday, December 3rd at 2 p.m. beginning on the corner of Barnwell Avenue & Laurens Street NW
  • North Augusta will host their Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, November 28th at 5 p.m. at Calhoun Park

    • The North Augusta Lions Christmas Parade will kick off on Sunday, December 10th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Georgia Avenue in downtown North Augusta
  • Graniteville will host their Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 2nd at 3 p.m. starting at Leavelle McCampbell Middle School
  • Edgefield will host their Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 24th at 6 p.m. in the town square.
  • McCormick will host their Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 1st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in historic downtown McCormick.
  • Fort Gordon will host their Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, November 30th at 6 p.m. at Barton Field
  • Augusta‘s Christmas Light Up Spectacular & Christmas Parade will kick off on Saturday, December 2nd at 2 p.m. in Downtown Augusta, with the tree lighting taking place at dusk at the Augusta Common
  • Augusta University will host their Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 5th at 6 p.m. outside of the Maxwell Theater on the Summerville Campus
  • Columbia County will host their Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 2nd at 2 p.m. at Evans Towne Center Park

    • Columbia County’s 52nd Annual Christmas Parade will kick off on Sunday, December 3rd at 2 p.m., beginning at Belair & Washington Road and continuing down Cox Road.
  • The Grovetown Christmas Parade kicks off on Saturday, December 2nd at 10 a.m. at Horizon South Parkway & Wrightsboro Road. Following the parade will be the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Festival at Liberty Park Community Center at 4 p.m.

WJBF NewsChannel 6 will be LIVE at both the Augusta and Aiken parades.
