Murder suspect arrested in shooting on Horseshoe Bend Road

UPDATE: Early Tuesday morning The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rodney Price IV at the Quality Inn on Richland Avenue in Aiken. 

The arrest was made with the assistance of The Aiken Department of Public Safety and a tip from a citizen. 

According to deputies, Price was arrested without incident and taken to the Aiken County Detention Center.


Aiken County Investigators are searching for a suspect in a shooting on the 1100 block of Horseshoe Bend Road.

We’re told the incident happened just after 11 p.m. Sunday.  

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the shooting resulted in the death of a 28-year-old Dakota Tager.

The incident reportedly happened after a verbal altercation between Tager and suspect, William Rodney Price IV of Warrenville.

Price is wanted for Murder and Possession of Weapon during a Violent Crime.
