A Lincoln County student was arrested Monday after making threats involving a gun.
Lincoln County School Superintendent, Dr Samuel Light, says a student was arrested today for making a verbal threat.
The 9th grader allegedly told some students that he was planning to bring a gun to school to shoot certain students.
The student was taken into custody by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The superintendent wants to ensure parents there is no current threat.
Chief Brandon Lively says for now, the student is in their custody.
He also says the student was not in possession of a firearm, nor did he have access to one.
The 13-year-old is charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts.
