GA mom who let men rape young daughters for cash, drugs sentenced to prison

FULTON Co., Ga. (WSPA) - A Georgia mother who pleaded guilty to letting men rape her 5 and 6-year-old daughters for drugs and cash has learned her fate.

According to media reports, Morgan Summerlin received a 30-year sentence. She will reportedly serve 20 years in prison and 10 years of probation.

Summerlin pleaded guilty to first-degree cruelty to children, enticing a child for indecent purposes and trafficking a person for sexual servitude in April. She was sentenced for the crimes on Monday.

The young girls told guardians that Summerlin took them to men’s homes where they were molested and raped for money, according to prosecutors.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s office said Summerlin waited in the living room of a man’s home while he raped one of the daughters and had another rub his feet before giving the victims $100.

That man, identified as 78-year-old Richard Office, received a life sentence after a jury found him guilty of rape, child molestation and other charges last month.

Prosecutors say Alfredo Trejo sexually abused the girls in a similar manner. Trejo was sentenced to 25 years in prison followed by life on probation earlier this year.

The girls’ grandmother, Teresa Davidson, is also serving time for second-degree cruelty to children. Prosecutors say she failed to protect her grandchildren after they told her about the sexual abuse.

“It is difficult to imagine facts that are more horrific than those found in this case. I am hoping these two little girls can somehow survive this abuse and grow into healthy adults who can lead a productive and fulfilling life,” District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. said in a statement announcing Summerlin’s guilty plea and Office’s conviction.
