One person is behind bars in connection with a double homicide in McDuffie County.
39-year-old Chet Kent is charged with two counts of Murder in the deaths of Kenyetta Germany and Cheri Stone.
43-year-old Germany and 42-year-old Stone were found in a crashed vehicle on Sterling Wells Road near Cobbham Road by a passerby on March 13th.
An autopsy revealed that both had died from gunshot wounds.
Kent was transferred to the McDuffie County Jail from Thomas County earlier today. He’s been in custody for the last several months on unrelated charges.
He is also charged with one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
