2 Arrested in missing Aiken County man’s death

AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WJBF) – Shakel Dixon turned himself into the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon.


AIKEN COUNTY, SC (WJBF) – SLED and Aiken County law enfocement say a missing person investigation is now considered a suspicious death case.

Back on May 1st Derrick Curry was reported missing in Aiken.

Now, investigators have searched 2 homes in New Ellenton.

They say evidence found indicates Curry was shot and killed in Aiken.

But his body has not been uncovered.

Denzell Deshawn Jackson, 18, and  Shakel Rakeem Dixon, 20, are both charged with murder.

Jackson is in custody but Dixon is still on the loose.

Dixon is considered armed and dangerous.
