AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – On Monday, South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson kicked off his annual district bus tour.
The Second District Congressman stopped at the Aiken Rotary Club where he met with citizens and Aiken City leaders.
Wilson is a big supporter of Paul Ryan’s plan, “A Better Way.”
It’s essentially an initiative to promote job creation, reduce poverty, and strengthen the national defense.
“It’s a work in progress. Except that we understand something and that is by limiting the size of government, by expanding freedom, by reducing taxes and regulations it creates jobs. It creates opportunities,” Wilson told WJBF NewsChannel 6. “This has worked in the past and I’m very, very hopeful that will be the agenda for the future.”
Wilson says some legislation has already been passed to favor Ryan’s plan.
