Changes could be on the way for Burke Co. law enforcement

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Changes could soon be on the way for law enforcement in Burke County.

Monday night, The City of Waynesboro could vote on an agreement between the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.

Mayor Greg Carswell requested the Sheriff’s Office provide a host of services, such as routine patrol and investigative services throughout the city.

If the contract is approved it would be for two years.
