Augusta, GA (WJBF) – The cause of death for Terrance Baker has now been released by the Richmond County Coroner’s Office.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen tells us the results returned from the GBI-Atlanta Crime Lab show that Baker died as the result of a gunshot wound to his head.

Augusta, GA (WJBF) – Three people are in custody Wednesday in connection to Tuesday’s deadly shooting on Wrightsboro Road in Augusta.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Terrance Baker was found shot to death just steps from his vehicle in the parking lot of New Ming Wah at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. Three men have been arrested in connection to the shooting: 35-year-old Elijah Bernard Washington, 20-year-old Brandon Antonio Carter, and 24-year-old Shawncy Barrett.

The three are each being charged with several crimes, as follows:

  • Elijah Washington: Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Murder.
  • Brandon Carter: Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Murder.
  • Shawncy Barrett: Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, and Murder.
