***UPDATED at 5:40 P.M. on Thursday, March 31st***
Augusta, GA (WJBF) – 6 people charged with the murder of Demajhay Bell had bond hearings Thursday.
The judge wants to wait until all the hearings are finished before he makes any decisions.
There were supposed to be 7 hearings, but Demetrius Harris does not have an attorney yet, so he will have to wait.
Prosecutors say Harris is the one who actually stabbed the victim, 18-year-old Demajhay Bell.
You can see the fatal blow in the brawl video.
Those suspects appearing in court Thursday were 18-year-old old Tyteanna Thomas, 35-year-old Quianna Henley, 18-year-old Quiasha Henley, 18-year-old Alexis Cain, 19-year-old Ryheem Jobes and 18-year-old Myah Dunbar.
3 different videos from the brawl were shown during the hearings.
The state says the physical fight started between Dunbar and Thomas, but escalated from there.
Attorneys for the defendants did not deny that their clients were involved in the altercation, especially since some of them can be seen engaging in the fight on video, however, they are arguing that one person committed the murder, not everyone else.
The sheriff’s office is now looking for Michael Dean in connection with the brawl.
Eddie Carter is believed to be on the run.
If you have any information about him or the others, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1080.
