Augusta wants court to reconsider media lawsuit ruling

The city of Augusta has filed a motion for the city of Augusta to reconsider and clarify its ruling on the lawsuit brought by four local media outlets.

The court ruled Wednesday the city violated the state open records act when it did not release documents on three of the finalists for the fire chief’s job.

Augusta only released information on Antonio Burden, who the city said is the sole finalist. In its motion the city said it is complying with the open records act and
