Augusta, GA (WJBF) – Augusta Animal Services has finished taking applications for Dog and Cat Sterilization Grant.
Officials say that 454 applications were received. From the applications received, 300 Augusta-Richmond County pet owners will be selected.
Eligible pet owners are being contacted for notification of their surgery date. Surgeries will begin on Wednesday, March 2nd and will be
performed weekly on Wednesday and Thursday.
Augusta Animal Services will also conduct the first Rabies/Microchip Clinic of 2016 on Saturday, February 27th at Garrett Gymnasium, from noon until 3:00 p.m.
The Augusta Animal Services shelter, located at 4164 Mack Lane, will be closed Saturday 27th, but will have pets available for adoption at Pet Smart from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
