Augusta, GA (WJBF) – Four women who were arrested in January in an undercover investigation in Richmond County concerning illegal commercial gambling have now been indicted on those charges.
Diane Choi, 50, has been indicted on charges of Commercial Gambling and Keeping a Gambling Place. Stephanie Cowin, 47, has been indicted on a charge of Commercial Gambling. Their charges stem from an investigation into Lotto Plus, located 46 13th Street, in Augusta.
Sun Chu Han, 57, has been indicted on charges of Commercial Gambling and Keeping a Gambling Place. Hyun Ha Hong, 61, has been indicted on a charge of Commercial Gambling. Their charges stem from an investigation into Lotto Express, located at 203 13th Street, in Augusta.
The investigation centered around “cash pay outs” from several locations in Richmond County. During the course of the investigation, two particular locations showed suspicious activity, which was consistent with illegal commercial gambling.
