Wednesday is a time for a “little golf” at Augusta National.
It was Par Three Day at the Masters where the players head over to the little course for some fun and to relax before the main event starts Thursday.
But do they want to mess with the Par 3 Jinx and try to win?
Since the first tournament in 1960, NO Par 3 winner has gone on to win The Masters the same year.
“We’ll see how it goes. If I get close after five holes and I think I have a chance to win it, maybe I’ll go for it. I would love to be the first guy to win both the par three and the tournament. I think that would be pretty cool, there’s no jinx to it. It’s in everyone’s head,” said Billy Horschel who is playing in his fourth Masters.
Since the first Par 3, 11 Masters champions have won the event…just not in the same year.
