Jennie: Zee Zee Wright’s new play Dreams of Harlem


Dreams of Harlem is a play written by Augusta playwright, Zee Zee Wright.

It’s about a young writer who dreams of meeting people of the past. He goes to sleep and wakes up in the 1929 Harlem Renaissance. He meets idols of the past, such as Langston Hughes, Lena Horne and his favorite, the first African American filmmaker, Oscar Micheaux.

You can catch the play Saturday, June 23rd at 3:00 pm, at the Jabez Hardin Theater in Columbia County Library.

Half of the profits are going to the United Way for the children’s education.
