Charmisse Owens has written the book on what you need to know before entering college!

Owens grew up in a single-parent household with her mom and twin sister in Los Angeles, CA.

In 2004, she started at Clark Atlanta University. Four years later she became a first-generation college graduate!

She writes, “This book is for everyone -including parents- who has the desire to pursue higher education but doesn’t have the answers. For anyone who is conflicted with being a product of their
environment or reaching their full potential. For anyone who doesn’t have a mentor or exemple of what
a successful college student looks like.”

Owens got her masters degree from Augusta University in 2011 and now works hard to motivate and encourage young people to as they navigate the world of higher education.

She is the author of “Things I wish someone had told me before I started college” and “The College-Bound binder.”  Buy the book and binder here.
