UPDATE, 6:28 P.M. – According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, a Ford F-350 pulling a trailer struck the rear of a passenger car and then the rear of a tractor-trailer, and then, a Toyota Highlander was subsequently struck in the rear by a Jeep. 

Authorities say that there were three minor injuries with the most serious being a possible broken hand. 

According to authorities, the at-fault driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions and following too closely. 

The right lane was closed after the collision but was reopened at 9:40 A.M., according to the Department of Public Safety.

GROVETOWN, Ga. (WJBF) – Columbia County Deputies are on the scene of a crash.

According to dispatch, the call came out around 6:30 Thursday morning.

No word on any injuries–but we DO know the outside lane near Exit 190 is blocked at this time.

Find an alternate route if you can.

If you MUST go that way–prepare to slow down and use caution in the area.
