Semi truck crashes through PCS Nitrogen Plant gates

Richmond County Fire Crews responded to the scene of a truck crashed through the gate of PCS Nitrogen plant on the 700 block of Laney Walker Blvd. in downtown Augusta.

According to the Augusta Fire Department, the call came in around 4:20 Monday afternoon.

Investigators say the truck had just made a delivery and was leaving the facility when it crashed through two security gates and landed in a drainage canal.

The driver was taken to Augusta University Medical Center for treatment. Her injuries are not considered life threatening.
